1950 DeSoto Custom coupe

For sale or trade is a very solid 1950 Desoto 2 door coupe. The engine turns over and I hope to have it running over the weekend. It has the Fluid-Drive transmission. Clear MN title. And it already has the natural patina that everyone's trying to fake these days. Very solid body, complete but rough interior. Very nice hood ornament and I was told that the face of Hernando DeSoto light works! It has a brand new battery and turns over with the key. It has spark, but has not fired up yet. I suspect it's relatively minor, possibly just needs new points.
It's getting very hard to find a 50's 2-door that's decent and complete in this price range! I will consider ford trucks of equal value: F-series, SUV or possibly a nice conversion van. You may also offer comparable AMERICAN collector cars, preferably Ford products. I can arrange delivery for additional cost.
I have this car listed locally, so I reserve the right to stop the auction if I get a local buyer. However, once I have received an opening bid of at least the $2000, I will cancel my local ads and let the auction run to conclusion.
