Good Day, here is a really rare car. Since Ford pulled out in 1974, it left DeTomaso with a couple choices. Either continue to march, or stop production. It is common knowledge DeTomaso did ~not~ keep a lot of ~spares~ on the self. As such, the (only 12 cars) we personally know of being produced total, in 1975, were for a world market. This is one example. Notice the rare body/chassis frame change used on later factory cars, making this car a prototypo perhaps. Not all '75 models came with this engine bay. This is a rare one, & this ~redesigned~ chassis became common on the DeTomaso Pantera GT5 & GT5-S Models that followed.Exactly as shown.A;so. this is a high horsepower car from factory. We have a ton of DeTomaso paperwork including build sheets, export data, mechanical details, test drives, & factory communications. This documentation is awesome & increases the value of any DeTomaso, since it is extremely rare to have ~ANY~ documentation from factory!
Make no mistake about it, this is a show car. It is a rust free example. Runs/drives like new. Mechanically needs nothing except a driver. Mechanical upgrades by Pantera Miami include Wilwoods all around & modern S/S cooling system, modern electronics, new steering rack, transaxle has less than 8000 mi since rebuild by RBT Transmissions, Roy Butfoy did this box. Notice also a super expensive exhaust system built by & sold under the trade name of Mind Train Products...Fred Matsumoto. These fine tuned systems utilize the perfect balance of backpressure. They were tested in use at the Salt Flats.One final note on Mind Train exhaust.... don't try sneaking up on anyone with these, well you get the point, but suffice to say Bach couldn't have written a better symphony of automotive authoritative sound! WOW!!
If you don't care for the 17's we'll put stock wheels on it for you & keep these.
Original interior is excellent. Engine bay is clean. This car is ready to RIP!
