Description

1950 Dodge B2-B Pilot House pick up.It is a ½ ton, step side, short wheel base, 5 window with the split wind shield. It has its original 218 flat head 6 with the fluid drive 3 on the tree. This truck was built in San Leandro, California and spent its life nearby in California. No rust at all and never was. No body work or bondo at all. This is a one family owned truck fresh from California. The original owner passed and his daughter who now lives in NY brought it east in 2001. She registered it and drove it occasionally, which means it is still registered in the original family name. Pretty cool. I have the previous Cal. reg. She had the brakes and rubber lines replaced a few years back. This truck starts right up and runs and drives as it should. It has a few factory options that I can see, the rare AM radio and speaker also a heater which actually was a option. Her Dad was a carpenter and she remembers him building the drawers under the bed that are still present. They are very well built and actually have metal rollers for ease of use. There is a piece of steel tacked in over them for your bed. Very sturdy and well done. I decided to leave it all in tact. Put her back to work. I also noticed it has the heavier rear end, axles and all. I’m not sure if it was ordered that way or if the Dad had it installed but it is very strong. I have done a basic tune up, rebuilt carb., drained the tank, plugs and wires, cap etc. She runs great. It could use a set of tires, they are dry rotted from sitting to long. I bought the truck still wearing its original paint. It had some very minor surface rust, very close to a nice patina butI decided to havethe truck professionallyscuffed, prepped and sprayed in its original dark green. I chose not to do ANY body work to show its originality. No rust ever and no bondo anywhere. So there are a few dings here and there and a few bangs above the bed in the back of the cab still there and can be seen in pics. I like it the way it is. Whoever buys the truck, I have the paint codes and a little left over paint so if you choose, you can do repairs as you like and blend the paint.

Truck starts right up, runs great, stops welland everything works. Brake lights just started staying on so I removed the bulb. Probably the switch. Get in and drive.
