The high water mark for the Charger is the 1969 model year. The HEMI-powered R/T was the King-of-the-hill trim level. Together in one car, I present to you, the ultimate Charger. Very few 4-speed manual shift Hemi Charger R/T's are left known to exist. This one is singularly remarkable, being finished in B5 Blue with white interior and a white vinyl top. Combined with a White Transverse Stripe, the overall effect is stunning. This example is 100% Numbers matching drivetrain and body, original VIN Stamped short block rebuilt and placed on a stand.
A balanced and blueprinted Mopar Performance 426 HEMI crate motor graces the engine bay for worry free Show and GO! Originally restored in 2006, the current owner purchased it in 2011 and set upon on journey to go for the gold. He decided to compete in an arena congruent with how it was originally restored, stock appearing but optimized to be driven and enjoyed. A Corvette collector and former NCRS judge, he spent time tweaking the car, preparing it for Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN) 2013. He entered this HEMI Charger R/T into the Street Stock Modified category and won Concours Gold, being awarded 997 out of 1000 points.
Since then, she has been kept in climate controlled storage, driven only occasionally with only 146 miles on the restoration. Over the winter, she underwent mechanical service and cosmetic refresh to keep her crisp.
