1971 Dodge Demon 225 Slant Six Two Owner Survivor
Description
I have owned this car since August of 2008.The originalowner drove the car well into his nineties, and really pampered the car. He wouldn't even drive it in the rain! When he could no longer drive, the car was sold to a dealer who sold it to me, so it's essentially a two-owner car.
This is as nice a car as you would ever find - I would not call it flawless but a true survivor from California. I believe it to be original paint; could have had some spots blown in over the years but from what I see mostly original paint car is incredible shape ready to drive. Not easily seen in the photos are some areas where the clear coat has peeled. Also, the body side molding that runs along the car has lost its adhesive, and has been taken off of the car. I have a new roll of 3M adhesive to reattach the molding when the temperature is above 50 degrees, and will include it and the molding with the sale.As you can see, the original trunk mat is still there, although it is mostly held together with duct tape.
The tires were replaced in 2008 (including spare), and have less than 5,000 miles on them . They are only the third set of tires that this car has seen! There are some areas of very minor surface rust, nothing major. Please refer to the photos.
Currently, the heater core has been removed from the car, and is included in the sale. I was in the process of replacing the original core with a factory A/C setup, but the conversion is incomplete. Both the original heater core and the rebuilt A/C setup are included with this vehicle.
I have added a factory trunk light and cruise control to the car. Also, I installed a windshield wiper pivot seal kit in 2015, so there won't be any leaks under the dash.
Please ask any questions before bidding.
