Description
I HAVE 84 MORE PHOTOS OF CAR,,,, ebay wont let me post link so text or email me for it
This is a 1972 dodge challenger rallye. Factory numbers matching, 340 pistol grip 4 speed. Car currently has 1968 440 in it, but numbers matching 340 is in the garage. I have owned the car for 13 years. The owner before me owned it for over 20 years. The car ia a factory ev2 hemi orange with black stripes and black interior. The car has had one repaint, I had it done when I purchased it. I do have the fender tag, but never located a bill sheet. The car does run, but two years ago someone backed into it in a parking lot causing the fender to be dented on the drivers side and also bent the upper control arm. I bought a new goodmark fender and a set of original fender fins. The car comes with a new sending unit as well. Since it has been sitting for 2 years it appears the pick up in gas tank is clogged I have it running off of a can. I had interior redone when I bought the car. The door pannel's are still in nice shape. The seats are also in nice shape and the headliner is fine and the dash is fine as well. The carpet needs to be replaced. The floor pans under the carpet look like new. The car came from factory with power disk brakes, manual stirring, and a 355 posi rear. The car is super solid there are some bubbles in the paint, but they appeared 1 year after I had it painted and it has stayed the same. The prep work must of been flawed. It was however stripped to bare metal when I had it painted. The car fender tag reads E55 D21 JS23 H2B 232093 EV2 B6X9 000 B12 096 538 EV2 U B51 C16 C56 J25 J54 L25 L31 M21 M42 N23 N41 N42 N85 R11 V6X 26 EN2 I will sell the car with or without the 440. The car has rock solid pans and frame rails body is solid and straight as well except for the fender. The car had just had the font end rebuilt just before it was backed into. All gauges work the car was raced in the 70's and still has a line lock on it. I left it because it was fun to burn the tires off. The car also has a 70's homemade fuel can on the gas line. 340 motor is complete minus carb and exhaust manifold. 340 was running when pulled but noticed the sparkles of a bearing when I changed the oil, so I just pulled the motor instead of taking a chance of damaging the original motor. Motor is factory bore with stock pistons and a big cam. The car is in need of work, but is a solid numbers matching 4 speed hemi orange car. The car was built in late 71 so it has an eight grand tack instead of the seven grand tack. Numbers matching 340 is a 71 cast block as well. As I said the car is for sale with or without the 440. Auction is for the car with number matching motor and transmission. Numbers matching transmission is the transmission that is still in the car.. I still have the factory small block bell housing as well. Feel free to call me 804937-2497 I truly hate to sell the car, but was in an accident a year ago and prorities have change taking family on a Disney cruise. Car is for local I reserve the right to end the auction. Feel free to come see the car. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due within 3 days of the auction. Remainder is due in 7. If you want an easy project this is it.
