Description

Offered for your consideration is a Wonderful Original post WWII 1951 M-43Dodge Panel Ambulance 3/4 to, 4x4 with loads of extras. This Truck - Panel Ambulance Straight 6 motor runs great and everything seems to work just fine, the horns, sirens, lights etc. There are pretty cool lights in the front that are used for driving in the dark and will not let the enemy see them coming.

*** 8175 originalLOW MILES *** All original, not molested, there are some additions most likely from the US Army Soldier who put them there, you will see in the photos, a Medal or pin and a US American Legionnaires Belt buckle near the steering wheel and dash. Runs like a tank / charm, and is an eye catcher, every time the Fire department or medics go by they sound their Sirens and often stop to take another look and feel.

There are many items inside like the gurney's and more. **SORRY for the dirty look.... this was a last minute decision to sell this Truckambulance, it is my son's and he needs tuition money.

Many of youhave purchased my WWI and WWIIUS Military items in the past and can be assured this is another original that will not disappoint you.

I am told this is a variance of the M37 truck which this is the M43 Ambulance

My lack of knowledge on these old Military collectible truc, tank and Ambulances are limited. I will research this more and add to the description.

Please call my son Dylan at 801 - 783 -8914 with questions.

Thanks for looking, watch for additional information to be added on the specs for every part. Here is some information I found on

http://olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_m43_dodge.php

"The M-43 3/4 ton rated ambulance is a variant of the M-37 cargo truck, built by Dodge as a follow-on to the World War II vintage WC-54 Dodge ambulance and WC-64 KD Dodge ambulance, both part of the G502 series of WC 3/4 ton trucks.

The M-43 is based on the M-37 cargo truck but differed from the M-37 by having the panel-type closed ambulance body consisting of the driver's compartment and the patient's compartment with a connecting partition door. The spare wheel is mounted on a carrier at the left side of the driver's compartment. A spotlight is mounted on the roof of the driver's compartment."
