Description

Make me an offer on a 1921 Dodge Brothers Touring car that runs and drives well. The burgundy fenders can be easily removed and painted. Dodge made them simple to remove. This car has a restored body, motor, transmission, roof and interior. All fluids have been changed and mechanics gone over: transmission, oil pan and pistons, and rear end. The car starts up and drives down the road charmingly at 35-45mph. Has solid wooden artillery wheels that were cleaned and are tight. Good rubber tires and tubes with a working spare.

The interior upholstery was redone and is soft and comfortable. The original wooden floorboards with carpeting still survive. There are two small tears in the roof along the back sides but they have been fixed. The top does fold down and clamp into the original roof clamps on each side. The headlamps and tail lamp work and all gauges are functional. Oil shows good pressure and Dodge speedometer works too. Horn is there but not wired up yet.

Theengine looksgood and the car has aluminum pistons. The oil pan was dropped, cleaned and new gaskets installed including the oil pump and seals. The timing chain was inspected and is factory tight. Has an original Detroit Lubricator working carburetor and vacuum canister. Gas tank is clean and sealed. Working water-pump and good cleaned radiator. The old car does drip some oil when running.

This is asolid example of a Dodge Brothers automobile, you can putter around in this and enjoy a by-gone era. Has a 3-speed manual transmission. The brakes work as good as any 1920s car should. The emergency brake doesn’t hold too well and there is some play in the steering, but that can be expected and tightened. Has a clean title in my name.
