Up for auction is my elegant and extremely rare 1970 Challenger R/T. Itis factory equipped with a 440 four barrel, Slap Stik 727 automatic transmission, and a Shaker Hood. This is the only known example with this factory combination. Otheroptions includecenter console, bucket seats, power disc brakes, power steering, AM/FM radio with rear speaker, and rallye wheels. What also sets this car apart from the pack and which is extremely interesting and makes this Challenger a true 1-off is the unusual and very striking color combination ofDY3 Cream paint, white vinyl roof, and all red H6E4 interior with a V9R red tail stripe. To many in the know, this Challenger is known as the Cream Dream. Because it is so rare, it was invited to the 2012 Carlisle show....just to be shown and shared with others in the Mopar community.....not judged. It was exhibited in a special tent with a few other rare high end Mopars. One Mopar enthusiast was so overwhelmed by the uniqueness of Cream Dream that he was inspired to build a model of the car. Ebay will not allow shared links but I have links available (for the Carlisle Show as well as the Scale Auto site where the model was submitted) to interested parties.

There are only two 1970 Challengers known to have been built with the (U-Code) 440 four barrel engine and a (N96) Shaker Hood. They are the Cream Dream (built with an auto transmission) and the second is up north and in pieces.,,,,,,with the engine, (4 spd) transmission, and other numbers matching parts long gone. The Cream Dream is 100% numbers matching. The factory installed engine, transmission, both body stampings (cowl & radiator support) dash VIN tag, and fender tag are all original factory items.

You seldom have the chance to buy such a rare E-Body that has already undergone a true O.E. quality ground up restoration and that has already proven it by achieving the prestigious ICCA O.E. Silver award.

This car has also undergone a personal visual inspection and verification by Galen Govier, and a full report will be made available to serious parties. A direct quote from Galen Govier after seeing this car “The car is ultra-rare and one of the best restorations I have ever seen”.

I have many photos as well as pre-restoration and in progress photos of my very solid Challenger and can also be made available to serious buyers. This is a premium quality investment quality Muscle Car.

I received this message and answered it but for some reason I am not able to add it to my auction under the "Questions and answers about this item" section. I reported this to Ebay Motors and they advised me to show it under my description while they look into this matter. I was told to delete the user ID.

Dear 71r-----a,
Hi Nicklas.
The Cream Dream was up for auction last June in Seattle with Mecum Auctions. The bidding went up to $110k which did not meet the sellers reserve and then went to "the bid goes on". An offer of $115k was submitted there but Dave decided not to sell.
There has only been a few miles put on the car since Dave did the restoration. I drove it only about 4-5 miles to put non-ethanol gas in the tank.
I may consider a partial trade but of course it all depends on what it is.
Thanks for your interest,
