I've got a1993DodgeD250Club CabCummins Dieselfor sale, its got 266,XXX miles. It came from Oklahoma, and has norust. I bought it just over a year ago and have replaced many parts. Now, the truck is in very nice mechanical shape with many new parts mentioned below!
I've rebuilt thetransmissionusing good Borg Warnerclutchesand Transtec seals. I installed a transgo TFOD-dieselshift kitat the time and had thetorque converterrebuilt.
While thetransmissionwas apart I removed and cleaned theengine, replacing thetiming coverseal, tappet cover gasket, andpan gasket. It got the "homemade" KDP fix using a piece of heavy wire held in place by the timing case bolt, andloc-tite on all the bolts that were accessible holding the timing case to theengine.I also installed a new aluminumradiator, hoses, water pump, and belt at the time.
Both frontenginemounts and reartransmissionmount got replaced when theengineandtransmissionwent back in place. And all of the filters got replaced, along with the lift pump once theenginewas ready to fire up.
I've also putnewTimkenwheelbearings and races in the back along with new seals andspindle nuts. While apart it got newbrakeshoes, springs, wheelcylinders and drums. The carrier assembly was removed to inspectthe bearings which looked and felt fine,as did the ring and pinion. Thepinion bearings felt good when turning by hand and were not removed.
Thedriveshaftgot all 3 U Joints replaced with grease-able Moog units and a new National drive shaft support bearing assembly.
I have just finished going through the front end as well. It's got new wheel bearings, races, brake disks and pads, and new calipers. All ball joints were replaced with greasable moog problem solvers. The bushings in the upper and lower control arms were replaced. The coil springs were replaced with oem style moog springs. It also got new shocks at this time.
Thetiresare all new Firestone Transforce A/T's in a 235/85-16 size on factory style steel wheels.
It has a receiver hitch and working trailer brake controller.
I've gone through the truck to restore its road-worthy-ness as much as I could in the last year. I obviously did not plan to sell it at the time the work was being done, as seen by the thorough extent of the parts replaced/inspected.
I've not needed the truck as much as I expected to, and have other uses for the money. That's why it's for sale.
It is sold as-is and the only thing I know to not be in working order is the air conditioning. It's got a bad A/C clutch and will need recharged after the clutch or compressor are replaced. For now it has a new non a/c belt that does not go around the compressor clutch. I'll include the good used belt that fits around the compressor.
The title is clear and in my name, ready to go. Thanks for looking! Feel free to contact me with any questions.
The truck is also listed locally until a bid is placed here on ebay.
