Description

This is my 1968 Dodge Coronet RT, It's a real R/T that was built in St. Louis. I have the fender tag and broadcast or build sheet, it's a 440 automatic car, originally built as a black on black car with no vinyl top and red tail stripes. It was painted Plum Crazy Purple 15 years ago. I've owned the car for 12 years and during that time I have rebuilt, restored or modified almost everything on the car. The car is beautiful, drives great and is very fast. It's had a lot of time and money spent on it. It makes approximately 475 to 500 rwhp on motor (depending on weather and dyno type) and 700 to 750 rwhp with its nitrous system. The car runs low 11 second quarter mile times on motor and is capable of running low 10 to high 9 second et's on the bottle. I have receipts for everything that has been done. It would be hard to list it all but please read the entire ad and then you can email, call or text for more info. Thank you.
Body: As I said above it's a 15 year old paint job done in Plum Crazy Purple (FC7) and it still looks great. The car is very straight and I get compliments on it every time I drive it. I can provide pictures of any area that you would like, just ask. It has a very nice bolt on fiberglass Six-Pack style hood that is painted satin black. This car is a driver and is not a perfect trailered show car, but overall very nice.
Interior: Excellent interior, it has new Legendary Interiors seat upholstery and seat foams as well as new carpeting and custom R/T floor mats, The dash, console and shifter are in great shape and all the gauges work. I have a new headliner that is not installed, the one in the car has a couple of minor issues.
Engine: 440 big block Chrysler, not numbers matching, factory forged crank, aftermarket H-beam rods, 11:1 forged pistons (runs on pump premium), Indy Cylinder Heads full CNC ported EZ heads, Indy intake, Proform 850 d.p. carb, Comp Cams solid roller camshaft, Harland Sharp roller rockers, Trend pushrods, TTI (Tube Technologies Inc.) ceramic coated headers, Milodon high volume oil pump, Milodon deep sump oil pan, MSD billet distributor, MSD coil, MSD wires, MSD Digital 6 Plus ignition box, engine makes over 600 hp at the crank and yet is very streetable.
Transmission: 727 Torqueflite automatic trans, A&A Transmissions valve body, billet servos, low first gear, 4 pinion planetaries, Dynamic Convertors custom built 9.5" convertor
Rearend and Suspension: 8 3/4 Chrysler with 742 center section, clutch style Sure Grip (Posi) with 3.55 gears and Moser axles, factory HD leaf springs with Calvert Racing CalTrac Bars in the rear and rebuilt factory torsion bar front suspension with QA1 adjustable shocks and an aftermarket front disc brake conversion.
Wheel and Tires: American Racing Torque Thrust D's, chrome plated with Mickey Thompson 275/60/15 drag radials in the rear and Sportsman SR radials in the front. All like new.
Cooling System: Custom built Hot Rod City Garage aluminum radiator with dual Spal electric fans set up with a thermostat and run off of relays. 440 Source aluminum high volume HD water pump
Fuel System: Custom built Hot Rod City Garage aluminum gas tank, baffled with a sump and an Aeromotive A1000 electric fuel pump mounted in the tank, Aeromotive inline filter and a return style Aeromotive pressure regulator along with TechFX PTFE fuel lines that are compatible with todays fuels.
Exhaust: TTI (Tube Technologies Inc.) 2" ceramic coated headers, TTI 3", X-pipe style, mandrel bent exhaust system with stainless tips. Sounds incredible!!
Nitrous Oxide System: Edelbrock plate nitrous system jetted for an additional 250hp shot, controlled by an Edelbrock Progressive Controller box for complete adjustability over ramping the power in. The MSD Digital 6 Plus ignition box retards timing when the nitrous activates and the engine is also protected by a low fuel pressure nitrous cut off switch. Also has an NGK wide band air fuel ratio monitor.
As I said before it would be hard to list everything that has been done to the car but if you need more info just ask through eBay or text or call me. Thanks, John 816-510-6380
