1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE

You're looking at my beautiful and rare 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T SE loaded with options. Only 733 were produced and this car is one of the most heavy optioned cars built. I have owned this car since September of 2009 and it runs and drives great. This is a two fender tag car with just about every available option. The car is numbers matching, by this I mean that the fender tags are original and match to the car, the VIN on the dash is original and matches to the car, the door sticker is original and matches the car, the two body stampings are original and match the VIN, the engine is original and numbers match to the VIN and the transmission is original and numbers match to the VIN. Radiator is correct for the car. No build sheet was found.

This car starts with a touch of the key and drives well. Engine runs smoothly, transmission shifts strong. This car was restored prior to mepurchasing it. The engine and transmission were rebuilt as was the front end. The car was repainted, new decals were installed, the interiorwas restored with new leather buckle seats, new carpet, new headliner, new dash, door panels are in excellent condition. A new vinyl roof and exhaust were installed. The car is very solid and straight. There is a small chip in the paint on the driver side door. Overall, the paint is very nice. Some buffing and touch up would make it even nicer. I certainly don't think the car needs a new paint job.

Options include air conditioning which works, blows cold, power windows, power disc brakes, power steering, AM/FM radio with rear speaker, Luggage Rack, R/T option package, SE Option package including all of the chrome SE mouldings, 440 four barrel engine, Dark Burnt Orange exterior, Black leather deluxe interior, tinted glass in all windows, rim blow steering wheel, 15 x 7 inch Rallye Wheels, black vinyl roof, Hood Performance Treatment, Black longitudinal stripe, light package, floor console with automatic transmission, upper consolette with formed headlining, hood tie downs, wheel lip mouldings, chrome gas tank, top fuel cap,bumperettes for the front and rear bumpers, deluxe seat belts and a L/S Chrome remote mirror. That is a lot of options.

The best part about this car is everything in the car works and has not been tampered with. The A/C blows cold, heat works, all of the gauges work, Tachometer works, Speedometer works, the AM/FM radio works, all of the power windows work. You can tell this car has not been abused and has been well cared for.

N85 - Tachometer

This is a nice car, but it is not a new car, it's 46 years old. The restoration has some age on it, but the car has been babied. It has never been rained on since I have owned it. It is always parked in my garage. I upgraded the a/c to modern the modern standard when I had some work performed on the car. It does not change the look under the hook, according to my mechanic, except the color of one small part is a different color. I wouldn't call this a daily driver type car myself because to me, that just isn't what it is, but I guess you certainly could drive it every day if you wanted. Like any used ca, it does have a few quirks or kinks, but nothing that I would consider major or that would require any expensive repairs. As the car sits, you can get in and drive it on the interstate, or go for a trip within a reasonable distance. I have not tried to drive the car for a very, very long distance as it is not that type vehicle, at least for my purposes, it is not. The car has never, ever, run hot on me or anything like that . When washing the car, I have noticed that some water somehow ends up getting in the trunk. It is not s large amount of water, but there is a seal or something that allows a little water in the trunk. I have always hand dried the trunk immediately any time any water got near the trunk. I have not been able to determine the cause of the leak. The rubber seal around the trunk lid is like new, and it does appear to have been replaced. I don't see how the seal could be 46 years old, it looks brand new. I believe the minor water leak is an easy fix. The trunk lid has two very small holes that appear to have been there to attach a dealership emblem or something. It certainly appears to be original to this car, and it does not take away from the car one bit. To me, it shows the history of this particular car, and I find myself wondering what sort of decal or emblem was attached there.

This is an opportunity for you to own a classic 1970 Dodge Challenger for a reasonable price. My reserve is well below what you see many classic challengers selling for on the fancy televised collector car auctions. Surprisingly, my insurance on this car is cheaper per year than my daily driver, and this car is going up in value while my daily driver goes down in value the older it gets. I am not a dealer, just a private individual owner. While I don't have to sell the car, I am not just testing the waters for a current value of my car.
