1989 Dodge Ram Cummins

this 1st gen cummins came from sunny San Diego California, I believe it lived all of its life out there because the paint is in such good shape.Motor starts up 1st crank everytime. All the gauges work properly, odometer reads 86k but it has rolled over once, you have to account that in 89 they hadn’t added the extra number on the odo to read over 100k yet. No rust anywhere, super straight truck it does have some dingsNow another interesting thing about this truck. it came as a 3 speed automatic (the Chrysler 727 or in the dodge applications the “a518”) the older guy who owned it had the transmission rebuilt and when he had it done he added an overdrive unit from another 518. . So it is the factory transmission now with overdrive. It is engaged by a toggle switch on the dash. You hit it when your going around 50 and bam you hit OD. When you slow down you flip it off and your back in 3rd. It’s so nice I wouldn’t want to use it as a work truck. Very untouched original except for a different radio and speakers behind the seat. No cracks in dash. Headliner and inside trim intact, carpet is nice. And every single accessory, option and gauge works as it should . Again I do not advertise this truck as perfect or box 1 cleanest in the world.But it is a very special truck in my opinion. Please conctact me for any concerns or questions.
