This is a 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T 2dr. hard top with vinyl top. Engine is a 440 with a 4bbl carb, autotrans with floor shift console all attached to a posi rearend. It also has high performance heads with roller-rockers and headers, a working ram air setup, factory air and power steering.
This car is originally from Texas and was driven from 1970 until 1974 when it was stored for 23 years. It was purchased and taken out of storage by current owners at that time. The auto builder was also from Texas and built the carusing the information off of the build sheet obtained by a VIN # service. They decoded the VIN# and the Fender Tag to come up with the specs as it came from the factory. We have pictures and docs of the build process. This process was started early in 1998 and completed in September of 1999. There were frequent contacts by phone and letters with updates and input exchanged throughout the process (available for inspection). The car was shipped from Texas to where it is now in Washington State. We believe the mileage on the odometer to be correct for the car itself but the engine and trans to the best of our knowledge have less than 10K on them.
This past year, the car has been refreshed top to bottom. The heads were removed, gone through and the roller rockers were added. The factory AC now uses 134-A refrigerant and blowscoldair. The addition of solid state ignition included compatible equipment to allow the Tic Toc Tac to function properly. The new radiator keeps it running at just the right temp and with the fresh battery it fires right up every time. The addition of an electric fuel pump and filter provides the american muscle 440 with enough fuel to"do it's thing". Ithas a small vertical scratch on the driver's side door and a few small nicks in the paint here and there. The chrome is complete, intact and looks good. The vinyl top has a few small bumps in it but they are not very noticeable. It has centerline wheels with new tires and the seat-belt system has been upgraded to a retractable shoulder harness type. Everything works bumper to bumper and she is capable of being driven anywhere. She is not a trailer queen. This car will be 50 years old in 2020, which means it will most likely increase in value; that makes it a good investment for part time car show enthusiast as well as the serious collector. It is being sold AS IS with no guarantee and no warranty.
According to www.glenwood76.com only 1543 of these rolled off the assembly line. No telling how many are still on the road.
