comes with a NOS black crush grain top and correct NOS brass zipper back window, including install kit, new tension cables, foam padding, tack screws...ready to install....also all new mint top stainless weatherstrip channel with new weatherstripping.
this a very solid CO car with undercoating so floors and frame rails are rust free, even the rear quarters behind the wheels are nice, 1/4 extensions, wheel houses rust free.
THE BADno build sheet -heater box needs complete rebuildno fender tag wiper linkage apart under dashdash tach inoperable grilles intact but need complete restorationfront light harness is crap pass. window regulator works but needs workneeds alignment radiator is crap, works but needs a new one
the top on the car was not completely installed and is now shot. the back window is zip tied in. as already stated the car will come with a complete mint NOS convertible top and everything needed to install it is new also.
the car needs a bell housing. It has a racing scattershield which may be cool looking but a pain to deal with
THE UGLY-front valance is rough 1/2 in. hole in hood for a hood tachometer-trunk lid drilled luggage rack and a rear wing
-rear seat frame is rusty and needs repair but its all there-typical rust on the passenger fender at the hood hinge it is structurally sound but there is rust showing through-typical rust in trunk center with a couple of 1 inch holes forward trunk sides extensions and wheel houses are rust free-rust in the lower quarters behind doors, pretty common for convertibles, but that is the extent of the rust issues. -the nose is bent up slightly from getting backed into....its not bad but noticeable....car comes with complete replacement front bumpers, brackets, supports, shims, cross members, grille mounts, every piece needed fix it and then some.
THE DETAILSI saw this 500 for the first time in the late 80s complete with its original drivetrain. my brother purchased it in 1993 by then it was red and had lost the motor and transmission to a superbee. Not knowing how rare it was the 4 speed conversion was done in 1995 by a mechanic in the family using a good donor car. all factory pieces and fasteners were used. It was not a shade tree hack job. the floor surgery was carefully done and the hump riveted in with the thought that it may someday see an automatic again. It was put together and driven intermittently between 2000 and 2002 when I got the car. It spent the next 16 years in the garage with little use as I collected more parts.I installed much of the new parts last winter and spent this summer driving it quite a bit. It runs like a 440 4 speed with dual carbs should....its fast, fun and a real head turner with that nice rumble through vintage mufflers. It is in good mechanical shape...no shakes, strange noises, clunks, bangs or issues. This is a solid, drivable, fun ass car....you wont be disappointed.... THE TECHNICALVIN WP27NOG2382621 of 67 383 magnum automatic 500s madeMopar Collectors Guide June 2002 has Galen Govier claiming 6 known left.
