Description

1957 DODGE CUSTOM ROYAL 4 DOOR HARDTOP ROLLING BODY....Plus a 1957 Royal 4 door hardtop parts car or restoration candidate....yes, this auction is for TWO 57 Dodges!
The Custom Royal is the very desirable D 500 model...yes, it originally had a high performance 325 Hemi engine coupled to a push button Torqueflite transmission. Sadly, the original engine and transmission are long gone, as is most of the interior.
Documented by Chrysler Historical. Car was sold new at Coliseum Motors in Casper Wyoming and is now in North Central Wyoming only 200 miles from its original selling dealer! Have a copy of the original punch card, too.
Solid car, but has rusty rocker panels and a small amount of floor rust. Plenty of dents and scrapes in body...missing hood, etc..gas tank is smashed, right fender is garbage, grille is rough...but remember, a parts car is included! (that has almost everything)
NOW FOR THE PARTS CAR! It is almost a twin to the Custom Royal D 500, but it is just the Royal model. Still the 4 door hardtop in the same color combination. Lots nicer body than the D 500 and could be restored, too. Missing mainly the windshield and rear glass. It has a 325 cubic inch Poly 2bbl. engine with push button auto. Same short block as the Hemi. so would be a good one to use in the other car. Engine ran good and has been started within the last couple of years. Interior is virtually complete and would be correct for the other car, too.
Basically, there are enough parts on the Royal to swap to the more desirable Custom Royal....or, both cars are restorable but will take more parts. Both cars have clear, Wyoming titles. Data tags are present on both. As mentioned, the Custom Royal comes with letter of documentation from Chrysler Historical that it is a D 500 model.
I would like to sell the two cars together, if possible, but I would sell the D 500 car without the other ..but won't sell the Royal alone for now. Remember, the E bay price is for BOTH cars. Cars are located in North Central Wyoming. I have plenty of room to store for up to 6 months. Possibly longer, if need be and you keep in communication. Shipping, however is the responsibility of the purchaser.
CARS ARE BEING SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS. NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE OF ANY KIND. YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME INSPECT THE CARS OR HAVE A 3RD PARTY INSPECT THEM FOR YOU. Please ask any questions before bidding or making an offer. thanks!
