1971 Dodge Charger R/T survivor 4 speed Dana
Description
Selling my rare 1971 Dodge Charger R/T survivor with 53,984 miles. I am the third owner.
Only 332, 440 4 barrel, 4 speed Chargers were built in 1971. This Charger retains its matching number 440 magnum, Hemi 4 speed manual transmission and 3:54 ratio Dana rear end. The fender tag, build sheet and window sticker included. All owners information. Lots of registrations included. The car retains its original gunmetal metallic paint. The interior is gunmetal and black.
The paint/body does have scratches and dings. The first year the original owner had a shelf fall on the roof, causing cosmetic issues. The touch up of the roof paint is showing its age.
The engine runs excellent and smooth. There is a newer exhaust that is quiet and sounds stock. Transmission shifts great, however the clutch will slip if you attempt a major burnout. Otherwise, you wouldn’t know it as it work great cruising around and gettin on it.
The brakes are power HD drum brakes. They actually stop really straight. This year, the master cylinder will need to be replaced. I have a new one and I will replace this weekend and keep the original with the car. The only non stock item, is the starter. It the mini type that works better then the factory starter. Has power steering and I do have a brand new carpet to include.
I will make the car available for inspection in a heated garage with a lift available.
I’m sure I am missing something, but I will add to description as the auction goes on.
Thanks for looking and happy holidays.
