Classic Polar Blue Color Matched Interior and Exterior
Description
History The Dodge Polara is an automobile introduced in the United States for the 1960 model year as Dodge's top-of-the-line full-size car. The name Polara is a reference to the Polaris star, in a marketing attempt to appeal to the excitement surrounding the Space Race during the early 1960s. The Polara was a competitor to the Ford Galaxie 500 and the Chevrolet Impala. Why This Car Is Special The 1963 Dodge Polara we have at Skyway Classics is built to be as close as possible to what a period street and race car would have been back then. Is has great workmanship on the outside and sweet color matched interior, a modified 440 cubic inch engine under the hood, with the correct push button transmission, which makes this car awesome. Mechanical These lightweight Polaras were a force to be reckoned with both on and off the tracks back then. And this one will hold its own today. Those functional hood scoops flow air into a 4 barrel performance carb and aluminum intake manifold. Exhaust is handled efficiently all the way out to the dual exhaust in the rear. It also has a "440" air cleaner assembly, performance wires and ignition, chrome MOPAR valve covers, and a H.D radiator. All the power from the engine is sent to the rear end by a push-button equipped 727 Torqueflite trans. The Dodge rides on great tires on aluminum mag wheels. Interior The inside of the Polara looks like new. The interior trim is great and the dash is painted to match the aqua color of the body which makes it stunning to see. The stock looking vinyl seats are covered in aqua with a center armrest, even the headliner was color matched when it was replaced. The steering wheel and the dash puts everything at your fingertips including the correct push buttons that control the transmission. Factory gauges and the speedometer are complimented by a performance tack and shift light on top of the dash. Exterior Our Polara has a great body with beautiful brightwork and chrome. The four headlights are surrounded by polished trim, shiny bumpers front and rear, and the racy looking hood scoops really set of this car. The mag racing wheels, with the larger rears squeezed up under the fenders, look just right here and give the car a nice rake. Conclusion Come see our 1963 Dodge Polara and you will agree this is a great looking car and a nice ride to cruise in or take to the shows. So give us a call at 941-254-6608. We also finance!
