1970 Dodge Challenger SE Special Edition
Description
1970 Dodge Challenger SE. Car runs well and lot drives. Would be a great candidate to fix up and restore as you enjoy it. Special Edition Challengers were equipped with numerous trim and body option upgrades including woodgrain Special Edition door panel inserts, lower door panel carpet and reflector, overhead console, premium seat upholstery, and small rear window. Car has original 318 engine with console shift automatic transmission and good exhaust. 15" wheels and tires are new. Passenger compartment floor pans are all solid with exception of the driver side front floor pan. It has a layer of fiberglass over the top of the floor and I assume has some pinholes underneath. Front and rear frame rails and rocker panels are solid with no rust or swelling. Lower rear panel of front fenders looks to be in good condition. Front corner of drivers door and rear quarter panels ahead and behind the rear wheels are showing signs of rust bubbling down low. Rear roof B-pillars are swollen along the seam to the top of the quarter panels and bubbling up beneath the white vinyl top. Trunk floor has small rust holes and would not pass a screwdriver test. Rear seam on trunk lid is swollen. Engine compartment cowl seam is rusted on each end, out towards the inner fenders. Inner fender area ahead of hood springs has typical E-body rust swelling. Shock towers are dry and solid as is the radiator support. Front windshield is cracked. Bucket seats have split seams and rear seat is in good condition. Door panels are chalky and dash pad is cracked. Car has the fender tag, buildsheet, and all body numbers match. I have a clear Wyoming title in my name.
Fender tag reads:
