Very nice, mostly complete 1942 Dodge WCThis truck is very usable with the closed cab, unlike most of the open cab weapon carriers.She comes with 3 very hard to find original wheels. One of the wheels is mounted on the truck and the other two will betransported in the bed. As the red paint is fading off of the original paint, you can see the original #'s from the war on the hood and the tail gate. It comesequippedwith what appears to be the originalengineand transmission. The transfer case was taken out years ago and used for another vehicle. I did get a replacement one, which is being sent with the truck. After the war this truck was put to use by a construction company until the 80's when they parked it. We had the engine running off a plastic gas can the other day, the original gas tank is not in usable condition right now. It would be neat to see if the red paint could be removed and then clear coat the original paint. The only rust thru is in the cab around the front window. It looks like the window or the wipers were allowing moisture in. This would make a great show piece for any Dodge showroom, or any type of memorial. If you intend to bring her back to her original glory, It obviously needs to becompletelygone thru, but is a greatcandidateto invest in.
