Description

Brute force meets elegance in this incredible 1966 Dodge Coronet Restomod. You simply can't get past the wicked look that proudly screams horsepower, and inside you'll find a 5.7L HEMI V8 to back up that image. A Coronet 440 with upgraded Charger features and modern flair throughout, this car that gets a lot of attention, and rightfully so. The color is called Electric Blue Metallic, a custom blend laid down on tough Mopar steel, and it... works exceptionally well on this performance car. It's so fresh and clean you can almost smell the wet paint and if there's a better looking canvas than a '60s Mopar, I can't imagine what it might be. The sharp edges are highlighted by the bright blue paint and the combination of the contrasting flat black hood and deck lid stripes make for a very intimidating package, and pop out even more thanks to expertly applied red pinstripe outlines. Fit and finish are excellent, far better than most Mopars of the era, and most of the exterior trim is new, including the bumpers, mirrors, and door handles, and the badges fore and aft were painted to match the flat black accents. The flat-black painted roof contributes to the no-nonsense attitude and you'll note that the red pinstripes were applied to the bottom of the pillars to continue the color scheme. And for a super-cool custom touch, a '66 Charger grille with hideaway headlights (that work!) was installed up front. The look is awesome! The interior is full of beautiful custom touches and was expertly installed to the same high-standard of professionalism that was commissioned for the exterior. Red leather front buckets have power controls and are split by a purpose-built middle console that houses a shorty Lokar shifter, cup holders, and a double din stereo head unit. Fresh red carpets and matching custom door panels look slick and the factory gauges were swapped for a cluster and leather-wrapped dash from the same donor '66 Charger that provided the front grille. The factory AM/FM radio is still in that dash (although the double din controls everything now), mostly because it looks cool, and A/C vents are neatly integrated and ready to pump the cabin full of R134a cold air. The Coronet is great because it also offers a full-sized back seat for friends and a truly massive trunk for your gear, all of which are fully upholstered to match the rest of the car. Take a closer look, this interior is basically untouched and ready to show. A Mopar isn't a Mopar without big power, and the fuel-injected 5.7L HEMI V8 under the hood doesn't disappoint. Transplanted from a late-model truck, it's got all the stock modern goodies built in, delivers huge power with ease, and a giant aluminum radiator up front keeps temps under control. Check out the beautifully finished inner fenders and firewall that were painted in satin blue, and a few detailed items like the black master cylinder and clean pulleys make everything highly presentable. The 5-speed automatic transmission was also transplanted from the same late-model and feeds a narrowed 8.75-inch rear end, so whether you're on the highway or testing someone at a red light, you'll be covered. Cut-off right after the mufflers, the new dual exhaust system give it a spectacular roar and Wildwood four-wheel disc brakes not only enhance performance but look awesome behind the open wheels. A triangulated 4-link suspension, QA1 coilovers, and the lowered stance help with handling and provide the wicked presentation, finished off with staggered 18-inch (front) and 20-inch (rear) chrome Coys. We can't seem to keep restomods in stock, and this one is one of the nicest we've ever featured. Professionally built only 111 break-in miles ago, it's definitely got the performance to go with that slick custom look. Call today!
