1981 Dodge Colt Custom 2-Door Hatchback 1.6L
Description
The car is a 1981 Dodge Custom 2-Door Hatchback. This car is a good little fixer upper. Everything on it has been replaced under the hood except the transmission, solenoid and the 1.6L Engine. It has a new paint job, catalytic converter, muffler, tail pipe, carburetor, fuel lines, fuel pump, brakes, alternator, tires, spark plugs, battery, and fuel tank. A/C will need a little work, but does work.
It only had one owner before my son bought it from a longtime family friend. It was his Grandmothers car, and sat idle after she passed except it was driven every few months to keep it from sitting up. It was never driven a lot. The car purrs like a kitten and fires up easy when you crank it. Only issue is when you reach 30 MPH it starts to lose power for some reason. The car will not take much to finish getting it up to speed. It ran well for a couple of months and then started this. My son is just not in a position to put more resources in it at this time. He has to work and go to school, so we are prioritizing. He has spent a lot of time and money to get it to this point.
