Description

Super nice, untouched original 1964 Dodge Custom 440. This car is a one owner that has been garaged its entire life. I bought it from an 83 year old man who lovingly preserved the car that his father had bought new. Never in anaccident or left outside. Undercoated from the dealer when bought new right here in Belleville Il. from Oliver C Joseph Dodge. This car has no rust on the floor pans or trunk floor. verylittle rust on outer body behind rear wheels and one spot on pass finder very minor original paint with a few small repairs over the years, could use a respray, but it still shows quite wel, See pictures. every piece of trim on this car is spotless. I have replaced battery, windshield and gasket, fuel tank with sender, belts, hoses, thermostat, points, cap and rotor, plugs and wires, allbrakes are new, including wheelcylinders and hardware. along with shocks, tires and wheels. The original wheels and tires with hubcaps come with it if you want them. Aside from what I have done this car is 100 percent original. The carpet is faded and fiftyyears old so I have a new one in the box that goes with the car. The headliner has one rip in the sail panel, and one small poke hol, but is showing its age. I have a bid to recover the front seat and replace headliner for $1200 from a great shop by me. I could have that done and install the carpet for the buye, for time and material. This car runs and drives as new. I can not remember ever driving a more solid car.Straight down the road quiet and smooth. I can deliver for a fee. I build transmissions and torque converters and have always been a Dodge guy. And a Dodge like this does not come along very often but I also have 5 kids and bills to pa, so I can not afford to fall in love with this car. You will not find a better unrestored example of a 1964 dodge at any price. My name is Chris and I can be reached at 314-359-9600. Please do not ask my reserve or buy it now as this is an auction and the car sells to the high bidder through this auction only the opening bid is the reserve. and Is not for sale locally. Thanks Chris p.s. the milage will go up as i am driving the car daily, because it is most fun car I have to drive. I would not be afraid to drive this car anywhere. Starts right up. No smoke or rattles. Very smooth powe, great shifting push button 727. all fittings just greased, and fluids changed. Road ready, and everything works except the am radio. Happy Bidding.
