Description

Up for sale is a very rare and extremely well built Super Stock appearing 1970 Dodge Challenger RT race car. The car has some famous NHRA history having spent some time in Pro Stock greats Larry Morgan’s and Lonnie Johnson’s possession. I purchased the Challenger RT to initially race it but have decided to sell. The Challenger is super light and will make a great Grudge, Bracket Race Car and or Pro Street Beast. No expense has been spared in the build. Another unique feature of this Challenger is the Race Car still has the OEM Style Front Suspension, unaltered Front and Rear Stock frame Rails, the car has not been back halved but the Frame is tied in and the rear is Ladder Bar Suspension with a New Dana 60 Rear End with a New Richmond Pro Gear 456 Ring and Pinion and Mark Williams High Torque Axles, All parts being listed both installed and uninstalled are brand new and goes with the Challenger. Installed parts are as follow: New Auto-Rod Controls 9 Switch Panel completely wired and connected to all devices, New MSD Programable Digital 7 Plus Ignition (with all paperwork and computer connection cables), New Autometer Phantom White Faced Gauges (Volts, Water, Oil, Tachometer and a Black Autometer Rear Volt Gauge mounted at rear battery charging terminals), New Painless Wiring High Amp Alternator Shutdown Relay, New Aluminum Radiator and Electric Fan Assembly, Magna Fuel Prostar 500 Fuel Pump (The Prostar 500 Pump is Good for up to 2000hp gas or 1200hp Alcohol), All New #12 and #10 Fuel Lines, Pro Series Aeromotive #12 (100 Micron Fuel Filter), New Alston Aluminum Dash, New Competition Engineering Chrome Moly Steering Column Kit with Quick Release Steering Hub, New Steering box assembly, New Barry Grant Steering Wheel with hidden built in buttons for line lock and or Trans Brake, New Custom Interior Door Handles, New Throttle Pedal and assembly, New Brake Pedal and Master Cylinder, All New stainless steel and hard brake lines, New Line Lock, New Wilwood Front Disc Brakes and Rotors, New Dana 60 Rear with 456 Richmond Pro Gears and Drum Brakes, 1350 Series yolk on Rear End and 1350 Series U Joints on a New Custom High Horse Power Driveshaft built for a 727 Transmission, New Weld Front and Rear Dragstar Wheels, New Front All Glass Tinted Windshield, New B&M Magnum Grip Shifter with new shift cable in box, RCi Platinum Lifetime free update 5 to 6 point Cam Lock Safety Harness, New Kirkey Racing Seat with Leather Cover, Electronic Relays and fuses connected to all Electrical Components and Circuits, All New wiring is connected to gauges, lights, Electric Fuel pump, Electric Fan, the Main Power Cable from the rear Dual Batteries and Cut Off Switch to front of car power distribution terminal is New 2 Gauge wire with 150 AMP Industrial Circuit Breakers on each end, overall wiring completed and ready for engine and transmission. When I purchased the 1970 Challenger RT it came with the Fiberglass Hood N Scoop, Fiberglass Front Bumper, Fiberglass Front Fenders, Fiberglass Doors and the Fiberglass Rear Deck Lid, the rest of the car such as the roof, quarter panels and rear bumper is steel. The 10 point Roll Cage and Sub Floor work was done and excellent craftsmanship. My next step after interior work was body and paint, the Challenger will need some minor cosmetic body work, a paint job or a wrap to look perfect. The doors shut very clean but to complete the body work you will need to properly adjust Front Fenders before paint and or a Wrap. There is one small rust spot in front of the passenger rear tire other than that no other rust, I included the area in the pictures. While at one of my friends shop his Son while moving a fork lift barley nip the drivers side rear fender, no major damage or a dent but barely removed the paint and body filler in a small area, I included the area in the pictures. The Headliner will need repair or replacement due to 2 small holes, I included the areas in the pictures. The Yellow Top Optima battery in the pictures is not part of the sale, only installed the Optima battery to show that all gauges and various electrical connections work. The Challenger is currently set up for a Big Block Mopar Engine. Not included in the sale but I included some pictures of my All Aluminum Keith Black Mopar R&B Based 1050hp Engine installed and a picture of a bubble level to show that the Challenger’s Engine mounting tabs are perfect. Now for the uninstalled part list: I do have the ruff in Interior Tin-Work flooring but had plan to take the Challenger RT to a professional metal craftsman and have the interior floor Tin-Work redone, a New Trans Tunnel still in box and I do have New Carbon Fiber Door Inserts for the driver and passenger doors. This is a rare race car so no Title or VIN, I purchased as a Race car with a Bill of Sale and a Bill of Sale will be included with the sale. This is a rolling Chassis only sale no engine included. The only history I have of the car is what was mentioned in this article and verified when I purchased. Please check my Feedback and bid with confidence. Many Thanks for checking out my auction and taking the time to read about my 1970 Dodge Challenger RT Race Car.
