Factory big block 1970 Challenger with OEM six pack, 4 speed and R/T badging
Description
PLEASE read the ENTIRE ad before you bid. I am selling my 1970 Dodge Challenger. She is a big block car from the factory, a 383 "L" code, 1 of 952 big block Challenger coupes and 1 of 96 with Cream exterior paint. She was restored by the former owner of 28 years in 1989 using parts from a wrecked R/T big block 4 speed car, "N" code, 1 of 2720 4 speed big block coupes. Going along with the sale are the 2 fender tags from each vehicle to back up the facts I am presenting. Most all the options on the R/T were transferred to this car, as well as parts from other cars that were readily available in 1988-1989. She is powered by a rebuilt 1971 "G" code 440 ci engine. The intake is an 11/69 date coded cast iron OEM six pack manifold and air cleaner. The center carb and rear carb are brand new and under warranty from Holley, and the front carb has been rebuilt. She starts and runs well. She has a 3.23 Sure Grip 8&3/4 "489 chunk" rear. 15" Rallye wheels with excellent tires, and front disc brakes. AM FM Cassette radio installed without cutting the dash. Rallye dash with added aftermarket gauges under the radio. The interior is in good shape for its age. Headliner good, dash good, door panels and trim good, rear seat good. Front driver seat has a tape patch on the upper left, and passenger seat has wear at the seams where cracking is occurring. Again, this is a 50 year old car.The paint is as old as the entire rebuild of the car - 29+ years. Rear quarters were heightened in 1989 to show the entire rear wheel. The frame rails are solid, Exhaust system consists of Hooker Pro series headers and original pipes and mufflers (have been patched), all original again to 1989. The car is approaching 50 years old, so expect body flaws and minor items typical of the age. The last 3 pics show the major flaws in the body. She is a great looking, fun to drive and powerful beast. If you are looking for a numbers matching car or a trailer queen please move on to the next ad. If you are looking for a head turning, fun driving car that you can actually tinker with, personalize and enjoy, then you are in the right place. She is insured with Hagerty, who set her value as described at $39,000.00. The winning bidder will be responsible for transporting her to her new home. I have clear title in my name as well as a copy of the previous one. I'm sure there are other details I am missing but feel free to ask any questions and I will post responses. I have a video that I can send to serious buyers. I reserve the right to end the auction early, either for a serious buyer or as it is for sale locally. PLEASE DO NOT BID if you do not have the $$$$ to complete the sale, or if you have to ask your wife, mother, whoever, or if you didn't know how expensive shipping costs are. I have heard all these excuses already. I will expect a $500.00 PayPal deposit at auction end, then a wire transfer, cash or certified check for the remainder of the payment. If paying by check, car nor title will be released until a ten (10) day check clearing period transpires. Thanks for looking, feel free to ask questions before you bid, and good luck bidders!
