1935 Dodge DU Sedan, Suicide doors Blue barn find
Description
This 1935 Dodge 4 door sedan is a great example of early 30's classic car design of the art deco era, from the long flowing lines, to the elegant hood sculpture, and glass inlay hood and trunk ornaments. The car was started using an external fuel tank and ran fine without any knocks or noises. I did not attempt to drive it, but I'm sure will be in need of brake work. This is a great solid car from the floor pans which have rust beneath the carpets but it is confined to surface, the trunk decks are solid. The running boards are solid and the metal sheets that the vulcanized rubber mats are applied to have been cleaned, and can be revulcanized for around 500-600 dollars. The dash and gauges are in great condition. The upholstery is in good condition except the bottom 4-5 inches were reloaded around the botto, sewn with lime green seventies carpet. All windows are intact there a few/with cracks as seen in the pictures.Just a great solid car ready for Restoration, hotrod, street or rat rod, or for just for a few dollars drive the kids or grand kids around.Again what the car doesn't have is rust. Better to buy good metal up front than trying to chase what's not there.
