1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 auto project car
Description
This auction is for my 1968 Dodge Charger R/T project car. This is a real XS R/T car with original fender tag, a broadcast sheet and numbers matching engine block. The car has the usual 2nd gen Charger rust as well as a need for a replacement torsion bar crossmember and the last foot or so of the rear frame rails. The front frame rails are clean. The car will need front floors, 1/4 panels, decklid, trunk floor and doors at a minimum. I have installed a clean original set of 68 fenders. The car does run, shift and stop under its own power, but I would definitely trailer it to wherever it is going.
The car is originally GG1 dark green metallic with a black bucket seat interior with center console. Black vinyl top and tail stripe. It does have power steering, power drum brakes, hood mounted turn signals and originally an am radio which is now missing. There are a few pieces of trim missing here and there, but for the most part, it is a pretty complete car. The car currently has a 1968 HP2 440 engine in it and a 1970 model 727 trans. The numbers matching engine does come with the car and is in good shape as far as I can see. The tan interior parts are from a different 68 Charger as this car originally had black interior.
The reserve is very fair for a project 68 R/T with documentation. Any questions can be directed to me. Dave (seven three four) 624 2212.
