1964 Dodge polara Max Wedge Clone. This car was purchased from the original owner who used the car while stationed in Kentucky with the U.S. Army. Car was completely rust free. It has always been garage kept and highly pampered. It has had a complete ground up restoration. Jim Kramer from Kramer Automotive Specialties, and Wes Leopold Sr. were advisors on the rebuild as well. Car was placed on a rotisserie and the entire under carriage was wire brushed to bare. 3 coats of white single stage were applied. New 1/2" stainless steel fuel lines and stainless brake lines were installed. New master cylinder and wheel cylinders. Complete rebuilt front end and all bushings. Had original radiator refurbished with larger tubes for enhanced cooling.The engine is a 440 big block Mopar. It has been bored .30 over. Everything else on and in the motor is Max Wedge. The cylinder heads are special factory experimental "for factory racers only" sent specifically to Wes Leopold Sr. back when he was a factory backed Mopar racer. The heads were ported and polished for maximum flow. The intake manifold is a factory Max Wedge part accompanied with factory correct carburetors. It has the correct model dual point distributer. It has the correct air cleaners. It has a special ground cam from Ray Burton to original Max Wedge specs. with forged pistons. The tranny is a push button that was completely rebuilt by AAA Transmissions to Max Wedge Specs. It is a Mopar 727. It has special aluminum clutch drums supplied by Dodge for Super Stock Racing Program. Motor and trans have less than 1700 miles since rebuild.The interior has been restored to factory specs. This includes all NOS front and rear seat covers,headliner,tray package and carpet. There is no sound deadening as per Max Wedge specs. Also has the radio delete option.The rear springs have been moved in 3" to allow for larger wheels and tires. Factory Mopar super stock springs and rear shocks. The rear end has been completely overhauled. It has 3.90 gears, Sure Grip, Strange axles and spool, Green bearings and heavy duty u-joints and yokes. Has new Mickey Thompson E.T. 10" cheater slicks on 8" wheels in rear. Front has Torque Thrust wheels and new Cooper Sport 5" tires. It has the Mopar Max Wedge exhaust manifolds with a new 2 1/2" aluminum exhaust system with removable side cut outs.This an awesome car that i have had in my collection for just over 2 years and am ready to pass it on to its next owner to make room for my next toy.
