MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present this aggressive and rarely seen 1941 Dodge Street Rod Pickup. Retaining its steel body, this very rare truck is a hybrid – its Mopar foundation is supplemented with several GM elements.

Finished in red, this all steel body pickup shows extremely well with only minor imperfections visible upon close inspection, such as a crack to the lower front valance. The glass panels are present and in good shape. The vehicle lights are intact and clear. All the trim is present, complete and displays normal wear with a bright finish. The body panels are all straight and the front and rear bumper deletions add to the aggressive look and stance. The custom 15-inch wheels represent well with only slight signs of marring and curb rash. The slim vertical taillights and bezels give the truck a modern flair! The truck has an Optima YellowTop battery. It rolls on Marshall Venture ST tires, 235/60R15 in front and 275/60R15 in back and these tires surround Chevy steel chrome rally wheels with caps.

Under the hood is a powerful Chevy small block V-8 with World Performance Product Heads and a Holley carburetor, which sounds mean after you turn the ignition key. The engine is mated to a three-speed automatic transmission, complete with a B&M ratchet shifter.

Inside, the custom red and black vinyl seats look great. The carpet, interior rear window bezel and inner door panels are new. Truck has new dashboard air vents, a new stereo head unit and two speakers. The matching dashboard is a continuation of the striking exterior of the truck and looks fantastic. Truck features a Chevrolet four-spoke steering wheel and a full set of Auto Meter gauges.

Nineteen thirty-nine brought a complete redesign with streamlined styling. Dodge introduced the concept of Job Rated, aimed at getting the customer the truck that fit the job for which he was buying it. The 1939 styling continued through 1947 as the focus went on engineering and production. In 1940, engineering started on a military four wheel drive truck, leading to the first stock light-duty four-wheel drive pickup in 1946; these were made in a massive new truck plant. Dodge also made their first diesel truck, using their own diesel engines, making them one of two automakers to use their own diesels before World War II (Mack had started doing so in 1938).

Dodge had good reason to brag about their trucks; while some competitors upgraded their smaller, lighter vehicles to create 2-ton-and-up models, Dodge made many more changes to make their bigger trucks tougher and more durable.

Competition to this picked in 1941 included Ford’s pickup truck, Chevrolet’s AK-series truck and GMC’s C-series truck.

This Dodge has a very aggressive street rod stance and is powered by a beefed-up Chevy small-block V-8. GET OUT AND DRIVE!

Current mileage on the odometer shows .8 of a mile. The car is being sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear mileage exempt title.
