1982 Dodge Rampage
Description
Thanks for taking the time to check out my auction!
What I have for sale is a 1982 Dodge Rampage. Thesewere only produced for 3 years, and are getting hard to come by. Many people that see it, ask what it is, or trying to remember the lasttime they have seen another...
I am selling this for a friend, and it had been in storage the last several years. I threw a new battery in, tried starting it, and found it was leaking fuel. I came back with my trailer, brought it home, installed a new carburetor kit, and now it fires right up with no issues. This is powered by a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder, backed to a 4 speed manual transmission.
The tires are in like new condition, with a little weather checking, but it is nothing I would be concerned about. They are a bit oversized, so they do rub a little when the steering wheel is fully cranked.
I was told this car was originally from the west coast, hence the lack of rust you would regularly see here in Iowa. The body is in solid condition for its age, with absolutely no rust through that I have seen.
Honestly, if I were to keep it myself, I would do a repaint, and drive it as it is!
Of course there are a few things that will need attention. The passenger mirror is broken off, the exhaust is louder than a new Prius (but not annoying) and the dew wipes on the windows havedry rotted. There are a few cracks in the dash, and I'm sure a few things I ammissing. I'm sure a new set of plugs, wires, oil and filters would not hurt, as I have not replaced those.
As in the past, I often get the question: "Can I drive this home?" I'm sure you could drive it home, however I would recommend an oil change at a minimum.(If winning bidder would like, its something I could do for an additionalfee)It is a used vehicle, so breakdowns do happen. In past successful vehicle auctions I have held, I have answered the question the same. However I have had good luck. 86 Porsche 944 drove it its new home in Illinois, and a 93 Taurus SHO made its way to southern Texas. I also have a Superduty diesel and a car trailer that I could deliver or meetthe new ownerfor an agreed cost. I have 100% positive rating as both buyer and seller on eBay, so rest assured you are dealing with someone to takes things seriously.
$500 will be due within 24 hours following the auction, with the remaining balance due within 7 days.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and if you need additional pictures, please include a cell phone number I can text them to.
This is selling at NO RESERVE! So, bid to own it!
Thanks
