For sale or trade for other MOPARs only!! 1962 Dodge Lancer GT. Has a rare aluminum block 225 slant six engine. Starts, runs, and drives.This is a super lightweight car, weighing only 2560 lbs. Makes a great racer or restoration project.Mopars are increasing in value across the board, so this is an excellent opportunity to own a rare, antique MOPAR at a bargain price!! I'd keep it myself, but the wife wants it gone!!Imagine this car with a crate 360 or 440dropped into it with some mini-tubs in the back running 10's or 11's all day long!!!!
The good:Vehicle is 98% complete. Missing only the front hood emblem, rear trunk letters, and headliner.Rare aluminum block 225 slant sixTorqueflite automatic pushbutton transmissionNew front shocks installed. New rear hi-jackers installed.New battery.Interior seats restored with vinyl recovering spray.
The bad:Floors are a bit soft, should probably have new floor and trunk pans put in. Needs carpet.Has an exhaust leak.Carburetor needs to be rebuilt, idles too high.Paint job is amateur, makes a good "10 footer", but could really be brought up nicely with wet sanding and buffing.Brakes shoulddefinitely be redone.Needs headliner (costs 159.00 plus shipping on EBAY)Front driver side wheel needs new lug studs installed (3 broke, other two are cross-threaded.)
I have found a source for a new grille and headlight surrounds, as well as a hood ornament, but have not purchased, these would cost $175 plus shipping.
Vehicle doesNOT have existing title. Will come with bill of sale only.Buyer may need to obtain a salvage title. I have a copy of the last known title, but owner is deceased.

Most MOPARS are selling for 7K and up, often for cars that are only gutted shells or missing major components!! Buy the car, bring your trailer, and grab your piece of MOPAR history! If it doesn't sell, I'll be doing more work on it, and the price will go up!!
