Description

I am relisting this due to a non paying buyer. I accidentally accepted his "lowball" offer but wanted to be honorable and kept my word. Lucky for me he did not keep his.

WE JUST SPENT OVER $1000 ON THIS SO PLEASE DON'T FIRE US LOW BALL OFFERS.

I have a really hard to find old Dodge. I have way too many projects and will let this one go cheap. Iwas asking $3500but lowered it to $2850 andI am willing to negotiate.

It is a 1963 Dodge 3/4 ton Military ambulance. 225 CID slant 6 cylinder with a granny 4 speed manual transmission. This thingwill go straight up a tree in 4WD low!

A former owner raised the roof about 12 inches to make more head room. He used it as a motorhome. It was originally Air Force Blue. We painted it Army Green. The body is not in too bad of condition. The original hood had been replaced with an orange colored one. The hood springs are missing so it wont stay up on it's own.The rest of the body is original sheet metal. Very little rust and very few dents or dings.

We just installed a new fuel pump and did a full tune up. She fired right up, after we cut the muffler off. It was plugged up by mice or rats. The carb was flooding over so I sent it out for a rebuild. It will be back in a few days. Meanwhile we are installing a new muffler.

We just got the brakes up and working. They work good now.

We just installed a new slave cylinder for the clutch and a new battery.

The right door window is broken and one of the rear door windows is cracked. It is flat glass.

I just put a very good set of used tires on it. They are 11X31X16.5 on 10 inch wide wheels.

Our plan was to drop in a period 383 and leave the rest as is. I live near Pismo Beach California (about 90 miles North of Santa Barbara) where you can drive on the beach and in the sand dunes. It would be awesome out there!

It has a very heavy duty drive train and what appears to be very low miles. It has been parked since 1991!! The odometer shows only 60,000 miles. I can not authenticate that, but, it has not been driven for 25 years! Military surplusvehicles are common around here as we are close to Vandenberg AFB. They also, commonly, have very low miles.

There is a PTO winch on the front bumper.

I have a number of other vehicles for sale as well. I have provided pictures of some of them. There is a picture of what it looked like when we first brought it home and the SEXY license plate! We have added a Red Cross on the passenger side, to match the opposite side.
