Description
1968 Dart GTS Convertible, 340 with 727 auto, 8 3/4 rear with 3:23 gears. All original drivetrain. Motor & Trans rebuilt at time or restoration, Rally wheels and fairly new tires (I have the original wheels and mag wheel covers /lug nuts) all gauges, turn signals etc....all work correctly, only non functioning items are radio & cruise control, even has theoriginal red line tire! This car is a life long Alabama can and was restored in 1987-88 at a local Chrysler Plymouth Dealership where I was a Tech and previous owner was parts manager, he owned from 1970 to 2015 I was offered the car after he passed. Car has never been modified except dealer installed A/C. I have 4 boxes of OEM parts, factory parts book, service manual & dealer accessory book, and binder with receipts, owners manual, warranty book that go with the car. ( I have a parts list of what's included if interested of content ) Many new parts also recently installed. Car has solid original floors, trunk & sheet meta, the left front fender was replaced and RR lower quarter replaced from a rust free doner at time of resto. Paint shines well but is 30 years old and sides weren't blocked enough before paint and trunk starting to blister but has held up well in that 30yrs. In front of both rear tires there is some rust bubbles starting ( See attached pictures), this is only rust I can find. I have all chrome, trim, & bumpers currently removed for re paint but can have back on in a day or so if desire. This can is too rare to modify so would like to sell for another project that I can do a resto mod type build, this one needs to stay original. New parts recently purchased to install after paint that also go with car:Sill plates, all ext. gaskets for door handles, lights etc... molded hood insulator, cowl and radiator seal, seat hinge covers, door hinge screws and strikers, door switch's, trunk jack label, tire label and drivers label, front hood trim, arm rest bezels, inside door handles, the grill, headlight bezels and rear panel and rally wheel center caps have already been repainted. Car sold with bill of sale only, Alabama did not issue titles in 1968 nor currently for vintage cars. Please e-mail with any additional questions or pictures you may need.
