Farm find 1947 Dodge WC half ton patina pickup truck original clear KS title NR!
Description
I'm looking to sell my mostly original Kansas farm find 1947 Dodge WC half ton truck with great patina paint and a clear Ks title. I got the truck from a farmer that bought it at an auction in 1980 and brought it home and parked it in his field. It has its original 218 six cylinder that still turns over but I don't know anything about the condition of the engine. It rolls and steers but doesn't have brakes. The truck has minimal rust but does have some dents and dings from years of use on the farm. The fenders all have some dents and or rust on them mainly where the running boards bolt up. The cab floor is rusted in the ds front corner where it angles down to the flat floor but the rest of it is pretty good and solid. The doors are good and solid all around as are the rockers, cab corners and running boards. The windshield frame looks solid and there's a couple of small dents in the roof. The headlight buckets have light rust showing in the back of them. The grille is nice and straight but someone swiped the trim from the center of it. Its also missing the front bumper, a hood side emblem, the ds park light lens and trim, the air cleaner and the ds interior door handles. I only have two of the original hubcaps and one of those is in rough shape. Two of the wheels on it are not original and I'm not sure about the other two. The glass is all old but the ps door is the only piece that is missing a chunk out of it. The glass on the gauges is all cracked and the seat is in decent shape. The doors and hood open and close like they should. The bed is in decent shape and has a piece of steel laid over the original wood. The front bed panel and tailgate are bent up a little. It has a homemade farm bumper on the back. Overall this is just an honest old original truck that sat out for many years. To get a great idea of what you're looking at go to 1947dodgewc.shutterfly.com for 200 pictures of the truck. This truck would be a great one to get going and drive as a worn original or to do a drivetrain swap and have a killer patina rat rod. The truck is selling with no reserve and all buyers are welcome. Shipping is the buyers responsibility but I can assist you in getting quotes. There's a $500 non refundable deposit due within 48 hours of the auctions close with full payment due within 7 days. Thanks and good luck bidding.
