Description

Classic originally sold in Italy, which is why EBay is struggling with the VIN - ZFFWC26B000077220, and brought to the US in the 90’s Ferrari four seat Mondial 3.2 Cabriolet, like the one seen in the movie Scent of a Woman, only in a very rare Dark Blue with tan leather interior. Park this baby in the middle of Corvettes, and she gets all the looks. And she sounds even better than she looks. As far as I can tell from my research on this model, it is only 1 of 2 of this color for the year in the US. My bucket list is complete: I've had this Ferrari Mondial 3.2 Cab for about six years and my brother had for four years before me. I have all records and the car runs fantastic and the blue is incredibly unique. No tears or rips in the interior and the dash is perfect. There are a couple of issues that will need to be addressed, but not immediately; the A/C clutch is going bad, but I have a used replacement that will come with the car and the top is beginning to rip low near the engine compartment (see photo). The car is never driven in the rain and is always garaged so it’s again not an immediate need to fix. Lastly, the top cover when the top is down and has a couple of missing snaps, but is still able to used. It’s the original as is the spare which has never been on the ground. I replaced the original Euro rims with US steel Mondial rims, but the original metric magnesium rims/tire that will come with the car. NADA says the value is between $30.5k and $44.9k. It's a driver's car, with a little over 85798 kilometers (53k miles). Major service was done at around 40k, with the timing belts replaced and the rest of the service done, so you should be ready to before she needs that kind of attention again. NOTE: Car is being sold locally and I reserve the right to close this auction early.

For those who have asked and those who may wonder: - Records go back to original bill of sale in Italy - Imported into California 10/03/2000 and converted to comply with U.S. emissions (Have all records) - Major service including all belts was performed in 2011 with 49,149 mile (79,085KM) – Have records - Over the years, multiple Ferrari dealerships in Italy, CA, AZ and VA along with Ferrari specialist have performed maintenance and repairs (Have all records) - The car starts without smoke from the exhaust, but only slight tick noise is from the A/C compressor clutch which stops when the car is warmed-up (Again, have used replacement clutch that comes with the car) - Front seats are not loose - Electrical issues: As with ANY Italian car, but this one only has a very weak horn. - There is no issues with the car starting easily after it is warm or cold for that matter. Immediate start, but one issue is if it is stuck in traffic not moving on extremely hot days (95+ degree), it will struggle. - The car has not been touched up as far as I can tell or know, but unclear if any spots may have been by original owner. No replaced body panels, no overspray traces and no record of collisions - Several have asked if I would provide a price and since I chose the auction process, I’d prefer to see it through on this site.

Additional note regarding paint and body, if you look at the cover photo to the left of the logo you'll see a small "pimple" in the panel. I've had a body man try to repair, but it appears as if it was pressed against a bolt under the panel itself at some point in its life. I chose not to remove the panel to repair, but can be easily tapped out. Other than that, the paint has the typical stone chips from being driven.
