Description

THE OVERVIEW
Offered for an appreciating new owneris this rare classic 1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spyder Convertible!
Finished in greenover black, this 49 year-old ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA BLUE LICENSE PLATE specimen shows just over 37,000 miles on it's working five-digit odometer. Typical of these older classics, I cannot 100% verify the actual miles. This little Fiat sports a strong running 850cc engine mated to the factory 4 speed manual transmission, bucket seats, steel wheels with good rubber and a folding convertible top.
It is being sold with clean and clear California title and is a great value here for about the cost of the sales tax alone on a new Fiat convertible!

THE BODY AND TRIM
This exterior of this 1971 Fiat is in fair, 99% rust-free condition overall witha decent overall shine to the paint finish. This little Spyder has had some re-paint work, has a dented area on the rear trunk and fascia panel, a dent on the right rear corner, a cracked rear taillight lense, some pitting on what looks to be the original bumpers, a couple divots in the windshield, along with lots of small nicks, scrapes, touched up areas and other cosmetic blemishes. The black soft top is in good condition with a faded rear window.

THE INTERIOR
As I hope is articulated in the photos, the interior of this 1971 850 Sport is in good to very good condition overall with workingspeedometer, horn, lights and blinkers.Imperfections inside the car include a crack on the steering wheel, a couple tears and rips on the upholstery and door arm rest, inoperative fuel gauge, cracked glove box panel and other miscellaneous worn areas on this cool original cockpit.

THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This classic Fiat starts fairly well with the manual choke and runs strong and smooth, shifts well, brakes fairly solid and straight with crisp, light and tossable handling. Throw down the top and it is a definite flashback experience driving this rare cool classic on the open road! Check out the test drive video here:
