1964 FIAT 500D Fully Restored White & Red 2 cyl 4 Speed Manual Runs Great Nuova
Description
1964 FIAT 500D This Italian micro-car was originally built for European markets. While its US entry is unknown, this FIAT recently underwent a full, comprehensive restoration. The rebuilt 499cc two cylinder engine is mated to a rebuilt 4 speed, floor mounted manual transmission. EXTERIOR: Body work and paint are Top-notch as is the new or polished original trim and is accented by new chrome bumpers on each end. The previous owner added the fun “Nuova” emblem, the Nuova was the previous model manufactured from 1957-1960, and was replaced by the 500D shown here. The suicide doors and trunk close with solid, well-built sound due to the new weather-stripping and proper alignment (in several rear angle pictures the engine bonnet is ajar, it does closes tight but was accidentally left ajar during photo session). Undercarriage is clean, protected and looks factory fresh, as well as the suspension and drivetrain. Beautiful wheels with FIAT logo caps are fitted on each corner wrapped in new radial black-walled tires. INTERIOR: Capable of seating 4 people, the red on white interior looks new, seats, dash and door cards all redone. Surprisingly this car fits easily a 6' 1" man comfortably. The absence of a heater, radio and all gauges except a speedometer (in km/h) kept the price affordable in 1964’s Europe, however, a cigarette lighter and ashtray were included. Standard equipment also includes headlamps, signals and wipers. Own a piece of history in this RARE fully-restored Euro-spec FIAT 500D.
