Description

If you are from out of town or local even and wish to view this beautiful Fiat Spider, please send me your email address and I will gladly send you a video of this incredible1979 124 Fiat Spider 2000 with 68,887 original miles, garage kept, rare 3 speed automatic transmission, previous owner began a full frame off restoration in 2009, we purchased the vehicle in January 2015 and completed restoration in September 2015. Previous owner invested $5,000 in a state of the art paint job (Ferrari Modena Yellow) and body restoration at a Fiat Specialist in Long Island, New York which included professionally custom designed front and rear bumpers. The vehicle has absolutely no rust anywhere. Even the undercarriage is rust free. Previous owner poured thousands in a new interior, new top, new battery, rebuilt 65 amp Bosch Alternator, new timing belt at 60,000 miles, new steering wheel, new 205/60/13 tires with professionally reconditioned rims, new master cylinder, new emergency brake cable, new transmission mounts, new shock absorbers, new brakes, new brake lines, new transmission fluid and gasket, new electronic ignition coil. My wife purchased the car in January 2015, then poured an additional $9,000 into the car to complete the restoration in September 2015. She has over $9,000 in receipts that she is prepared to provide. The list of repairs and upgrades in 2015 and 2016 include: Passed inspection 10/12/15, oil & oil filter changed 10/12/15, rear differential rebuilt in 2016, 2015: new 32/36 DFEV Carburetor, new 1800 cc intake manifold, new gas tank, new electric fuel pump (starts up every time), new fuel sending unit, new radiator, new heater hoses, new spark plugs and spark plug cables, new fuel check valve, new front license plate with Fiat logo, new coffee cup holder, new Momo horn button, new sunvisor posts, new sunvisors, new front hood and rear trunk emblem, new black armrests, new window vent latch, new distributor coil pick up, new convertible boot top, new retro sound radio with USB charging port and smart phone port inputs, new interior rear view mirror, new dash cover, new front radio speakers, new red crest caps for the wheels, new carpet mats, new chrome tail pipe, completed upholstery restoration, new gear reduction starter, new hood end pad, new interior light, new dash center trim, new radiator fan switch and thermostat, new 3 bolt catalytic converter, new EGR block off, repaired and welded driver side seat, welded flange, repaired back lights, pulled rear axles to check axle bearings, drained and refilled rear differential, lubricated steering damper, new center muffler, new fuel neck hose, 2 new fuel hoses, new vapor valve, repaired squealing brakes, new distributor seal and gasket, new valve cover gasket, new breather hose. All the work was done professionally by Fiat Specialists. This vehicle has undergone a carburetor and intake manifold conversion for added horsepower, custom bumpers that are lighter in weight for better handling. The handling is race car tight and the power and speed is incredibly impressive for a 4 cylinder with an automatic transmission. This beautiful car drives smooth and steady at 90 mph with no steering wheel shimmy or weird shakes or tremors. For a 36 year old car, she is dependable and reliable. She is a gorgeous car that attracts a crowd everywhere we go. Only reason my wife is selling her pride and joy is because she is purchasing an RV.
