Early 65 Mustang Coupe. (64.5) Was a D-Code, A/C, Console car, Wimbledon White with Standard Black interior. M Steering, M Drums
San Jose built 1964, Brought to MI in 2003, then disassembled by PO.
I bought it about 10 years ago as a roller with many parts in boxes to save it from the crusher. The ac unit and console are gone. As are the engine and trans.
This is a rolling body with many usable original parts. As well as some of the 64.5 specific items.
In the pictures you will see: original doors (minor rust), fenders, hood (original early with lip), trim, glass (no windshield), trunk lid, front grille and pony, front valance, rear valance (no reverse light holes) old radiator, original front and rear seats (all, the DS is in my other 65 temporarily(the passenger seat is non-sliding as in early 65)) and two or three tubs with small parts like trim, wiring, gauge bezel, etc.
Please don't ask me a million questions, if I had the time to inventory every part, I would just sell it off in parts.
I have this priced to sell, the original 64.5 parts (hood, seats, et) alone are worth the starting bid,
In my opinion, this is a nice project base, being an early 65 289 D-code car, with a title.
* note: radiator support and DS door jamb have been removed.*
I may have other 65 parts to send off with it.
Come with your trailer and get yourself a project that will keep you busy for a while!
Fenton, MI
I was asked about the VIN matching the title and fender aprons: YES, they match. There are several stampings that all match. (photos added)
I was asked about the data plate: The data plate is missing.
On Mar-05-17 at 14:04:28 PST, seller added the following information:Sheet metal date stampings of "6 20 D3" indicate late June/early July 1964 build.
just to clear up any confusion, the DS front fender is missing.
