Beautiful original Bright Gold Metallic Boss 302, standard black interior, 3.50 geared flat hood car with a few nice options (Marti can be seen below).
I purchased this car out of Iowa a few years ago and performed a complete mechanical restoration on it.
The engine, transmission, drive shaft, rear end, suspension, brakes and steering were all rebuilt/restored. The car runs and drives beautifully. The car, when I purchased it, had a standard 302 in it that had sucked a rod, so I got rid of that and sourced a date-code correct complete standard bore engine from pan to intake that was removed from a wrecked boss in the early '70's. It was rebuilt by Bob Florentino (?) in Northern LA, a Ford drag racer and private engine builder for many years. He took his time and did an amazing job! A sheet with all the specs and parts utilized in this (stock) beast boss can be viewed below.
The paint and body work is from a previous restoration in 1981 and thus is a 35 year old paint job. It still shines quite nice and I would consider it a 5-footer and has some imperfections (checking, chips). There was rust repair performed on the car when it was painted. That included both quarters to the edge (not to the roof seam) and was lap welded. It is not noticeable what so ever, unless one were to inspect the quarter from the trunk. The trunk drop off's were most likely replaced due to the noticeable putty used on the undercarriage. The driver side floor from the seat riser forward was replaced as well. The rest of the floors are original. Not too bad for a Metuchen car IMO.
The interior, from what I can tell, is either original or was restored using NOS (maybe repro?) materials in 1981. It is very nice and looks original.
