This is the car that I blame all of my automotive addictions on. When I was a kid my dad always talked about wanting a 64.5 Mustang convertible. He never did and when I came across my first old interesting car in my 20s I bought it just so that I wouldn't spend my life saying I always wanted an old car. Eight years ago my Dad said he was ready and asked me to find him a good one. I found this for him but warned him that I was afraid he wouldn't drive it because it's so nice. Well I was right. He's afraid to drive it. For example he's put 94 miles on it in the last 9 months.
A D code 289 makes it an early 289 car. It came from the factory with manual brakes and steering. Those have been replaced with factory power components as has AC been added also with restored factory parts. It is an automatic.
As you can see from the pictures it's in great condition but I would suggest going through it because of the low usage. Please feel free to ask any questions.
