1968 Ford Galaxie
XL 500 Convertible

Original Paint rust free Arizona desert survivor located in Tucson !
We suggest viewing this auction on a normal PC or tablet
and NOT A PHONE to see ALL the large clear pics !!!
AND NO RESERVE !!
IF YOU HAVE UNDER 10 Feedbacks you have to email me
if you plan on bidding. If you dont, we will email you
and cancel your bid if you dont respond... period.
The VIN listed is wrong, Ill put the correct one up in a day
with pics.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Very well loaded car from the factory: power top, pw, pdb,
AC, tilt, 390 big block, Hide-A-Way headlights and more ...
so this car has been off the road for about 10 yrs, last owner
said one day it wouldnt start and he just parked it under his carport
and left it. Paint looks to be the original N code Diamond Green enamel
with white interior. The convert top obviously has had it and the interior
got some sun damage from over the yrs but the car was covered since
the top came apart. I think to get it running you could do the timing
chain, carb and clean out the gas tank. For the interior, recover the front
seat, new top and door panels and it would be a great cruiser.
The body and trim on this 45 yr old car is in amazing shape thanks to
being in Az its whole life. Glass all good and chrome for its age is really
in great shape. Convertible top frame all looks intact and functional.

DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.

DRIVETRAIN: this car has its factory V8 390 2v w/auto C6
Prob the original motor and trans
as well. These motors make all the torque
Necessary to move this tank in town or on the highway.
We did a tune up on it but it wont start... narrowed it down
to the timing. Looks like it may be off a tooth or two. Probably
still the original timing chain on the car but not sure. It will
probably need a new 2v carb too.
TIRES look okay, not sure how old they are.

INTERIOR: take a look at the pics, although it looks okay in the pics
the interior of this car isnt horrible, just showing its age and not restored.
It could use some new stuff inside to be really nice or you could drive
it the way it is to be honest. It came from the FACTORY as an
AC car. It all looks complete, so with a little work, Im sure you can get it
working. Chrome and stainless inside look great too for their age.
Wouldnt take alot of work to bring the interior decent.
PW are pretty rare as is the Tilt steering.
Dr door wont open, handle seems to be broken and rod inside may
need to be fixed.
Both rear lower floors where you put your feet MAY need repairs
but wont know till you pull the carpet. Its still minor by far compared
to most cars this old.

EXTERIOR:the body and and original sheetmetal on this car are in amazing
shape for being over 45 yrs old. Factory Hide A Way headlights are cool !
I wouldnt paint it, but just do the
mechanics on it and drive it the way it is for now. They are only original once.
During restoration, you could go back 100% stock....
or RESTO MOD the heck out of it !!
The stainless on the outside of the car is in really great shape and its all there!

SUSPENSION:the suspension looks very much original and tires just ok.
Nothing weird to report here, mostly all original but functional as is
Below are pics of some 18x9 Resto mod style rims we test fit on
the car to see how well they would fit, and they look and fit great ! SO IF THERE IS
A WINNER and IF THEY WANT TO BUY the rims and maybe a good set of used 18"
tires for it, just inquire, ..we can make you a good deal on those too !!

Check out ALL the pics below ----->

it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.

There you have it, probably The BEST represented GALAXIES on Ebay.

Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes. This is a very RUST FREE TRUE AZ CAR like most we have
sold over the years, and its still better then most out there for sale
or bondo-ed up to look restored. WE ARE LOCATED IN TUCSON
Its still so clean, If the car doesnt sell, Im okay with that too
because Id love to keep it its that nice.
Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.

Email us with ANY questions before you bid please
Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as
much feasibly possible via pics.
Dont let auctions withlittle to no pics try to fool you.
If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they
are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy long distance.
With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect
until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
Along with ANY other questions you may have.
Email me for a quote for shipping.
