1932 Ford Roadster Project Original Chassis, Brookville Body, Quick Change Rear w/Title
Great start on a traditional 32 roadster. New Brookville body on an original 32 frame with premium n.o.s., original Ford and new reproduction parts.
The chassis components came from a collector’s personal inventory for a car he had intended to build. The rails are very nice originals. The k-member has never been out. The front crossmember was replaced with an n.o.s. crossmember and the rear cross member is an original Model A modified to fit the frame. Both crossmembers were riveted in and look factory. All work was done in a jig. Comes with a nice set of original pedals.
The front suspension includes a beautiful 1932 heavy axle with a 4”drop and new spring. It has an n.o.s. tie rod and round back spindles with the steering arms bent to clear the near perfect un-split 32 wishbone.
The quick change rear end was assembled by Dennis Fringes. It has a new Rodsville center section for a torque tube with a real Halibrand rear cover. The axle tubes are mint 1940. The axles are n.o.s. The ring gear and pinion are n.o.s. Assembled with all new seals, bearings, races, hardware, etc. Ratio is 3:44. The radius rods are nice 46-48’s and the spring is an original Model A with reversed eyes. Comes with a nice 36 torque tube and driveshaft.
The wheels are early Ford 16” with old paint, rings and caps. The tires are new Firestone 4.50’s and 7.50’s. The brakes are fairly new and in good working condition.
Body is new from Brookville and comes with cowl vent, lower windshield stanchions and stock style door hinges. Firewall is an original style from United Pacific. Grill shell, insert and gas tank are new from Vintique. The hood is new from Rootlieb.
Comes with current and correct Tennessee title for 1932 Ford Roadster in my name matching #’s on the frame. Please call for questions or additional information 865-755-7019.
