Description

This Boss 302 was built November 18, 1969 and delivered to Atlanta Georgia. I have a Marti Report showing it was ordered in bright gold metallic, ginger blazor stripe cloth decor interior, 3.50 rear, AM radio, rear spoiler, shaker hood, sport slats and tachometer. When I bought it 2015 in California from the second owner that owned it since 1980, the car had a Boss 351 in it which the owner wanted to keep. So we pulled the 351 and I purchased it without an engine, but the original close ratio 4-speed toploader transmission and 9 inch nodular 31 spline rear are both still in the car. The rear gear ratio was changed to 3.91 from 3.50 in the 70s. The car in the late 70s made its way to Michigan from Georgia where it was painted with lacquer and then mostly garaged. Then in the mid 1980s the second owner took it to Southern California where it mostly sat outside which cracked the lacquer paint job.
The metal body is excellent with only minor rust on the right/rear quarter and top driver quarter roof joint (see photos). There is lots of cracked paint, but no major bondo to worry about. The floors, torque boxes, outer rockers, frame rails and shock towers are original and rust free. The cowl is totally rust free! Driver quarter and door were replaced in the 1970s. The quarter replacement was nicely done. No accident damage visible. Clean front end and aprons. VIN plate and front apron VIN stamp are nice--a real deal Boss 302. Staggard shocks and reinforced shock towers look good. Both Boss 302 front and rear sway bars are there. The original D0ZE radiator is still in it, but the bottom return outlet was moved to the passenger side for some reason...can be returned to the driver side or used as is. Looks like it has Koni shocks. Lights all work. Selling "as is" and expect full payment in 10 days. See YouTube video for more info: https://youtu.be/VwBSA1GN-kU.
With an engine this Mustang will be awesome!
