Description

This 1974 Ford F100 Ranger trim, mid-year introduction of the SuperCab. Dodge came out with an extended cab D-series pickup in 1972 and Ford rushed to catch up introducing the "SuperCab" late in 1974 making this a very rare model.

It has a 360V8-2br. and 8 foot bed with power steering and brakes. Automatic, factory air. 83,000 miles.

Painted (bed off) original colors in 2006 - Two Tone Green (Ivy Glow) and Cream (Wimbledon White).

Mostly original condition including headliner, floor mat, rear jumper seats, Ford extended mirrors, front bumper, and drive train. One of the pictures shows the condition of the floor right after we removed the floor mat. This vehicle had no rust what so ever.

Items replaced include: new front bucket seats, rear bumper, heater control valve and heater core, AC (converted to R134 - evaporator, compressor and clutch, expansion valve, drier), hoses and belts, battery and cables, heat riser, idler pulley, exhaust manifold gasket, fan shroud, alternator, tune up, rebuilt carb, brakes, tires. Basically whatever was needed to make it run dependable and look like new.

Items added include: trailer hitch, shoulder belts, undercoat, running boards, front bumper guards, top cab lights, dual exhaust with chrome tips (truck has a nice strong rumble), oak gauge panel and gauges, oak center console, custom tool box.

Condition: The truck runs, drives and looks very nice... show quality. Everything that was needed to make it run great was done (see list below) so that it was dependable for driving. My dad was a founding member of the Black Swamp chapter of the American Truck Historical Society here in Toledo, OH and fixed the truck up for local shows and crawls and felt comfortable driving it a few hundred miles even into his 80s. Smooth idle, no hesitation, good oil pressure, tight steering (highly assisted), and smooth driving. Even the bed looks nice.

Only things we know of that is not perfect with the truck is the heater fan vibrates (new but bent during installation), a stone chip in the bottom of the windshield, AC currently does not work but the truck came with factory air and the components have been replaced, and a slight oil leak. (The truck is 43 years old.

Have lots of pictures if there is an area you would like to see.
