Very rare SSP Police Interceptor Notchback Mustang up for grabs here. A vast majority of these SSP cars were automatics, very few being manual transmission service cars such as this example. The car has all of the factory sought after pieces such as the factory radio, center console, silicon coolant hoses, heavy duty radiator, heavy duty alternator, factory air box, ash tray lid, factory seats, factory manuals, black wheels with aluminum centers, and spot light. All new brakes front and rear, new battery, new fuel pump and filter, and a fresh tune up. Engine and tansmission were rebuilt last summer and not have about 5,000 miles of them. The car runs great and has plenty of power! It has a trick flow upper and lower intake, MSD ignition system, new clutch and lightweight flywheel, adjustable clutch cable with quadrant (common foxbody problem resolved with this upgrade), rebuilt rear end with 3.73 gears and positive traction, updated mass air meter, e303 cam, ported gt40 heads, trick flow rockers and pushrods, forged rotating assembly, . Shorty headers, catless H-pipe, flow master mufflers and stainless tail pipes (Car sounds great! Mean sounding idle!). Car was repainted a few years ago. Shines and shows great, but could be made near perfect with a nice wet sand and buff. All of the original Body Vin Tags and buck tags are in place. The buck tag is difficult to read due to the car being black, but the car was a registered Florida Highway Patrol unit (the sticker is still in place on the rear window). The car has the certified calibrated speedo and the DHSMV (Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle organization) decal in the glovebox. This car has NO RUST anywhere!! You could eat off of the floors of this car!! Car runs great no issues. Very good overall condition. For those who are unaware, a SSP is a service vehicle:A very limited amount of foxbodies were tagged, equipped, and sold for police use.The majority of these cars were automatic, but a select few cars were equipped with the beefed up t5, 5 speed manual transmission, like this car.The cars are very rare, sought after, and have become highly collectible. They come with a high voltage alternator, a larger radiator and upgraded cooling system, a roller cam assembly, and a forged rotating assembly. The suspension is also upgraded, and the floor boards are much thicker for added strength and support. All of these things make the cars pretty much a plug and play drag/race car...it's hard to find them anymore in original form.1993 was the most sought after and limited year, and this car has all of the rare equipment and pieces still. This car also came equipped with the sought after black exterior with black wheel option. The color combination is simply stunning and the car just looks down right mean. I purchased this car from Florida. The car is and has always been a Florida car, always stored and well maintained and taken care of!The car was actually purchased from a current Florida state police officer! He collects service cars, and specialized in SSP Mustangs! It was a very cool experience and opportunity to be able to purchase the car from a current officer! He had a superb collection that I was lucky enough to get to see, and it was a pleasure to meet him! Great individual!! If you need any additional information, pictures, or a video of the car running, please feel free to contact me! If you have an offer you would like to make, feel free to contact me! I will assist with loading up the car for shipping, and I also have a shipper in mind that is very local to me!! Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!!! *I have the Car listed for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time* |
