1930 Model A Ford Town Sedan, Excellent Condition
Description
This is an early 1930 Briggs body Model A Ford Town Sedan. It is an older restoration that is in excellent mechanical condition, with a professional interior installed by Bill Sturm in Wisconsin many years ago. The interior has the deluxe extras such as correct interior light, folding arm rest, pull down window shades and assist straps by door. The mohair is in excellent except for the driver's sear which is creased and and shows a little bit of wear. The carpet has has some driver's side wear and tears by the rubber pad near the peddles, but is very good elsewhere. Early lighted instrument panel with rare Waltham speedometer, and an original popout ignition switch. Good working electric windshield wiper. The door lock has a key and works. All wheels including both spares have metal valve stems. Note the rare dual spare tires, but the second (inner) tire, although it is unused, is not a whitewall. During the years I have owned this car almost everything mechanical from front to rear has been rebuilt using original parts. Original era Air Maze carburetor screen. As it stands it is well tuned, starts and runs like a Model A should, and is a good driving Model A without modern modifications, except fuse, side view mirrors and seat belts added for safety.
This is not a show car. On the down side, the worst thing is an upward dent (didn't happen on my watch) at the right rear roof edge - see photo. Also the paint shows its age with chips, dings, thin spots, and a 6" scratch on the right rear door (see photo), but is still very presentable. Car comes with custom cover.
The 1930 California license plate does not come with the car, but is being sold in a separate 7 day auction beginning tomorrow. It is California DMV clear. The car has a California title in my name. Any questions write, or call me at (702) 568-0955.
