1932 Ford Phaeton --- Original Henry steel Flathead V8
Description
I am listing this 1932 Ford Phaeton for a good friend of mine. His ONLY reason for selling it, is some family issues. The car is a original 1932 Phaeton that was originally a Australian bodied car. The Tan car in the second picture is the same car and how it sat around a year ago before the owner removed body parts to paint it black. The other pictures are how the car sits now. He has every part that was removed, and nothing is missing. The car was in a museum for many years, before being purchased by the current owner's father. The car was then only driven every once in a while, and spent the better part of 20-25 years parked. 4 Years ago it had a mechanical overhaul and has only been driven a few hundred miles since, if that and has sat under a carport for the last 4 years. At that time the following was done:
Rebuilt 1936 Ford LB block engine, with NOS crank, NOS cast iron heads.. Built by Harold "Putt" Smith in Georgia. ($4600)New Brassworks radiator ($1280)Completelyrebuilt brakes, the car has 1939 Hydraulic brakes ($420)NEW fuel pump, NEW stromberg Carburetor, NEW 6V alternator, NEW battery, Restored 1932 Air cleaner with hidden K&N filter ($925)The car was completely rewired using NEW original type harnessesHas a NEW electric fuel pump in addition to the mechanical. All new fuel linesOriginal tank was completely flushed and sealed.Rear endwas rebuilt (still has 4.11 gears)Transmission synchro hub was replaced as well as the bearingsThe Fuel gauge, and amp gauge were replaced with correct originalsThe horn is a NEW boat tail 1932 HornOver $11000 was spent in parts at the time.
Now on to the rest... The car will need new top material. The original irons with nice bows come with the car. The under seat pan under the rear seat has been replaced with flat sheet metal. The rear seat floor pan (where the passengers feet would set) is still there but pitted and the top side has been reinforced with Fiberglass. The frame has typical stress splits at the very rear, and the front crossmember has been patched like most have. The fenders are flat black like the car, but the hood is still tan.
All in all not a show car, but a good driving car that could easily have the body panels reattached to do as you please. If you have questions you may call or text me at 615-293-9985. $1000.00 deposit due within 24 hours, and must be paid in full within 7 days. At this time the owner prefers I answer any questions that I can before referringpeople to him. The car is physically located in Bon Aqua, TN
