1935 Ford Roadster 50's style mild custom offered by Gas Monkey Garage
Description
1935 Ford Roadster 50’s style mild custom offered by Gas Monkey Garage! There’s just something special about Ford’s styling from the mid-1930s. Ford cars were not only reliable, but their sculptured lines also rivaled many coach built cars of the day. Ford offered a plethora of body styles in their line-up, the rarest being the 2 door Roadster. Simply put, there isn’t a line out of place on the 1935 Roadster with a rumble seat and nicely flowing fenders. This rare and desirable 1935 Ford Roadster offered here is a great example of just how exquisite a Ford could be with its well-balanced design and excellent reliability. This example has been well cared for and mildly modified in a period correct fashion reminiscent of the Hotrods of the 50’s . The interior is finished in tan with comfortable bench seating that is showing its age with some wear and tear from being driven and enjoyed and rear passengers are treated to a blast from the past with a rumble seat. Power comes from Ford’s tried and proven 221 cubic-inch Flathead V-8 that has been mildly built with period correct upgrades such as Fenton Heads and Exhaust Headers (with exhaust cutouts) and a triple Stromberg carb setup (it is currently tuned for running on the single center carb for improved drivability). The venerable Ford Flathead V8 put eight-cylinder power within reach of the common man. The exterior is finished in nice glossy black finish that shows well with minor nicks and chips that don’t show in the pics(see all 100+ pics) with the mild custom touches such as the earlier grill and upgrades like modern LED auxiliary tail lights. The previous owner has installed a custom protective flap to prevent scratches when entering and exiting the rumble seat area! The tan canvas top raises and lowers smoothly with a nice tight fit. Underside pics reveal the attention to detail that is present on this iconic Roadster with a solid chassis and proper upgrades such as the cutout exhaust. Due to our filming schedule we are unable to perform any work on this car for you SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS. While this awesome Ford Roadster runs and drives it should be completely serviced prior to any extended driving to ensure safety and reliability. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to own a very nice example of the iconic 1935 Ford Roadster.
