1940 Ford Sedan deluxe Tudor
Description
Reluctantly selling my '40 Ford, its a 2dr. sedan deluxe, original 85 horsepower (rebuilt) flathead V8, 3 spd. manual transmission, 9XXXX miles, I have added a 12 volt alternator, 15" tires mounted on Chrome smoothie wheels with moon caps, I have the 4 original 16" wheels, hubcaps & trim rings and very used WW tires. All the glass has been replaced by shaded glass. I was told that I was the third owner. The car was purchased new in Pine Bush New York. It runs fine, burns no oil, no cooling system issues, recent tune-u, the distributor needs to be properly timed. Clutch works fine. I have new running board rubbers that are not installed but included, the interior is original and in good driver shape, it wont win any awards. Drivers rear 1/4 glass needs to be re-installed, Minor work needed for the instrument cluster and rear wiring. R/S hood hinge is unfastened (broken) at the cowl, small dent on drivers side fender below the headlight & between the wheel opening, peeling paint on the cowl vent but otherwise the paint is very nice, it was repainted by the former owner. I drove the car to a GOODGUYS show in Columbus Ohio in July 1999 and it ran perfectly there and back, no issues at all. Also available is a complete (ran when removed) 472" or 500" Cadillac V8 with its matching THM400 trans, $300.00 OBO, that never made it into the engine bay, 1940 New York Worlds Fair license plates available also. I have a transferable N.Y. registration, titles not issued for pre 1973 cars in N.Y.S., car will not leave until funds are cleared, transportation is the responsibility of the new owner. $500.00 non-refundable deposit via pay-pal, balance in cash at pick up or certified check. prefer cash tho. No guarantees offered, its a 77 year old car that presents itself very well. Needs some love & attention .
